Walter Trecchi

Como, 1964
Biography

Walter Trecchi was born in Como in 1964.
He graduated specializing in textile design and achieved his first successes in the fashion industry by collaborating with prestigious international brands. After being selected for the Mondadori Art Prize in 1998, he devoted himself entirely to painting, exhibiting in collective and solo shows in Italy and abroad, curated by Flavio Arnesi and Emma Gravagnuolo.
Trecchi's work focuses on mirror architecture in the new way of living and its ever-evolving horizon. The concept of balance is also understood by the artist in relationship to nature, a theme that he will further develop in the series "Naturae".

MORE

Walter Trecchi defined as one of the best talents in the italian contemporary art scene, has been working consistently on the practice of landscape painting for over twenty-five years. In his latest production, entitled Naturae on display in our gallery, Trecchi has decided to “unbalance” to- wards the environmental and naturalistic theme.  The artist becomes the spokesperson for the sensitivity of nature and, with this new expressive research, he has decided to make the large trees as the main subjects of his works, whose thick foliage rises and stands out against the sky and embodies the infinite floating of light and colour in the landscape. With his painting, created on a material base of stucco and plaster, Trecchi seems to convey an onomatopoeic aspect of nature, the movement of the branches and the sound of rustling leaves, which blends with the skilful use of colours and the sparkling chromatic variations of green, emerald and teal.
